Want to be a Class Agent?

Directory of Agents

As JTD graduated its seventy-sixth class in June 2005, the alumni rolls continue to grow. There are now over 1,400 John Dye graduates, many of them still living in the area. It is a challenge to keep up with all of you and I need your help.

I hope that you will consider becoming a John Thomas Dye Class Agent; that you will join a growing group of graduates who are committed to helping the School stay connected to its alumni.

Your duties would include the following:

1. Help With Class Notes. The "Greyhound Newsletter" is mailed twice a year in the Fall and Spring and the class notes section is by far the most popular in the publication. Notes can be emailed, faxed or phoned in!

2. Write a letter to your classmates in the Fall. As new class agents, it is important to introduce yourselves, inform your class about important dates in the year ahead (Carols, Fair etc.) and to ask for participation in the Annual Fund.

3. Reunions. It is up to the Class Agents to gauge interest in their classmates to have a reunion and to form a committee to work with the Alumni Office to make the event happen. The School is more than happy to assist in any reunion efforts but the alumni must first show an interest.

4. Assist in keeping information current. Assist the Alumni Office in maintaining current information on a continuing basis for JTD graduates.

Whether it is writing letters, providing class notes, reunion planning or providing information to the Alumni Office, your effort makes a real difference to me and to John Thomas Dye. In a School where traditions play such important role, it is vital that its Alumni stay connected to their alma mater in their memories and in their lives.

Please contact Lisa Doherty or myself and let us know if you would be interested in becoming a Class Agent.

Sincerely,
Raymond R. Michaud, Jr.
