Poseidon, god of the seas, was a
very determined god. One reason was because of the perfect gift he tried to
make Demeter. Poseidon told Demeter to love him, but she asked him to give her
a land animal as a gift. While Poseidon was so dedicated in building the
perfect gift, he came up with some other animals that he did not like.
Eventually he invented the horse and was very fond of his creative work.
Another example of Poseidon being very single-minded was when he chased down
Demeter because he wanted her to love him the way he loved her. On that day
Demeter was minding her own business when all of a sudden Poseidon ran after
her. Immediately, she transformed into a mare, but Poseidon turned into a
stallion and caught her very quickly. Filled with so much perseverance,
Poseidon pursued her until she loved him. In conclusion, Poseidon was a very
driven god and mostly got what he wanted.
