Hades, the god that
rules the underworld was very evil. For example, when people died Hades would
give them very horrible punishments if they displeased the gods. One man
named Sisyphus had to roll a stone up a big hill, but when he reached halfway
it would crumble and he would have to start over, and repeat that task
forever. Another man named Tantalus had to sit in a river, but he was really
thirsty. When he tried to drink, the water would sink down, and he would have
to do this until the man rolled his stone all the way up the hill. Another
example is he worshiped the worst monstrous creatures in the underworld. They
were called the Eumenides, and they were so violent that if you made them
mad, they would take a metal whip and whip your skin off your bones, Then
they would go around chanting their story. This concludes that Hades should
have been placed as god of the underworld because of the horrible things he
loved, and did. |
