Icarus

Icarus, the human boy, was very daring. At one point in the story, Icarus and his father Daedalus were imprisoned in a labyrinth maze, and if they attempted to escape and were caught, they would be killed by King Minos. Even under these circumstances, Icarus still risked his life by planning to have Daedalus build wings for them so they can fly away to another country.  If they succeeded, they would not have to be trapped in the maze forever. If they did not succeed, they would be killed. That was very risky. Another time Icarus was very bold was when they were flying. Daedalus was napping, and Icarus was awake, just flying and observing nature.  Being the courageous boy he was, Icarus decided to fly up to the sun just to see what it actually was and whose theory was correct. Earlier he had been warned by his father not to go too close to the sun because it would melt the wax that was holding his wings together. He did not heed the warning and the sun melted his wings, causing him to fall into the ocean and die. Because Icarus was a little too daring, it cost him his life.
