Hephaestus, the god of fire and craft workers, is very resourceful. One reason is that takes Hephaestus also used his own hands to do his work, and he does not use magical tools that do the work for him. For example, he takes plain old rocks and pebbles, rubs them into precious stones such as jade, rubies, and diamonds. Instead of obtaining already precious stones and making them better, he uses rocks and transforms them into the most valuable stones in the world. Accomplishing his work in the castle that he lived in called Mount Etna, he is always working and will have his furnace running for eternity with a roaring fire in it. In addition, Hephaestus invents many useful for his fellow gods too. For example, he crafted HermesÕs winged sandals and helmet and AphroditeÕs famed girdle. As the handyman of the gods, Hephaestus is a very resourceful and helpful god.
