Ares

Ares, the Greek god of war, is an extremely cruel god. One reason that he is such a brute is that his parents, Zeus and Hera, never treated him well. They never really cared about him at all. Being more interested in their other children, they never spent time with him. If he had been well cared for, he may have been the god of minor conflicts. Another point to why Ares is ruthless is that he is very bloodthirsty. The god of war is almost always depicted carrying a bloody spear and sitting on his human skin-covered throne on Mount Olympus. Because of this cruelty, even when in battles, such as the Trojan War, he never used strategy. Because of his title, he is the one who leads all the gods to war. He usually goes into a raging frenzy, trying to kill all enemies in his path. In conclusion, the actual facts about Ares prove that he is a barbarous character.
