Perseus

Perseus, a demigod, is very ambitious. One reason is due to the adventurous stories his mother tells him. On the island where he lives, he sits around the fire while listening to the stories about battles and even love stories. This makes him want to be the best. He is also a very good athlete. For example, he is not only the fastest runner, swimmer, and hunter, but is even the best fighter among the other boys. Another way Perseus is such a striving man is when he sets out on his quest to kill Medusa, a mortal Gorgon that has snakes for hair. He finds the Grey Sisters who tell him where to find the Nymphs of the West. Once he gets the directions from them through blackmail, he sets out. After reaching the Nymphs, he convinces them to give him the weapons he needs to kill Medusa. Once he gains all his needs, he finds Medusa and slays her. All these examples show how Perseus always achieves his goals.
