Hermes

The Greek god Hermes, the messenger god, is sly. One example is when he cushioned the hooves of ApolloŐs cattle and stole them, leaving no trace, when he was only five minutes old. This is furtive because he was able to trick Apollo, the all-powerful god of the sun, at a young age. Another example of when Hermes was sly was how he looked so innocent, his mom argued with Apollo himself over HermesŐs innocence. This is wily because as a child, he completely outsmarted his mom. The last example of why Hermes is devious was when Hermes tricked Apollo out of his staff by trading two worthless instruments for the staff and the title as god of herdsmen. This is a great example of why Hermes is clever because he made outrageously unfair trades with Apollo, who could be easily aggravated, without angering him. In conclusion, Hermes is very cunning.
