In the Greek myths the beautiful goddess Aphrodite is very cruel. When Zeus demands her to get married, she picks Hephaestus. This was mean because when other men were offering her everything that she would ever want, she picks Hephaestus because he said he would be a very good husband since he works late. Because he was ugly, he did not want to marry him; however, he worked late so she could just see other men while he was at work. Hardhearted, se took advantage of Hephaestus. Also, Aphrodite was very jealous of Psyche is beautiful. Of course, Aphrodite wants to be the prettiest of all, so she plans to make Psyche wish that she were never beautiful. Aphrodite orders her son Eros to scratch Psyche with his love arrows while she is sleeping so when Psyche wakes up, she will fall in love with some hideous creature. In conclusion, Aphrodite may be the goddess of love and beauty, but on the inside she is brutal and hateful.
