Phaethon
is a demigod, the son of Apollo and Clymene, and is very reckless. After he
won a race, he lies that he knows how to drive the sun chariot and the sun horses,
and he makes a bet that he will drive it someday. This shows that he is
careless because he lies about something he knows he canŐt fulfill and then
makes a bet to do it. His father promised him anything and he took the most
dangerous task possible. He thinks he can drive the sun chariot perfectly
without trying. However, Phaeton decides to take the sun chariot off course
and drive it over ZeusŐs sonŐs house. In doing so, he burns the earth because
he didnŐt think. In conclusion, Phaethon is very thoughtless. |
