The great hero Perseus, a demi-god, is devoted. An example of his devotion is when he agrees to King PolydectesÕ challenge to bring back MedusaÕs head and as a reward he will give PerseusÕs mother her freedom. Even though Perseus has to fight the dreaded gorgon who may kill him, Perseus tries to win his motherÕs freedom no matter what. In addition, Perseus continues to stay on the island even after being slightly frightened by the amount of stone men surrounding the fortress of Medusa and her two sisters. Despite his fear, he persists to accomplish his goal. In conclusion, Perseus is very committed to any task given to him.
