Pandora, a
nature myth, was very curious. She could not stop thinking about what was in
the beautiful box that Hermes had given her. All the gods had to give her a
gift and when it came down to Hermes and Hera, Hermes gave her a beautiful
box and told her never to open it and Hera gave her curiosity. Pandora wanted
to know what was in the box so bad she could never sleep at night. Later on,
her curiosity finally took her over and she opened the box. Out of the box
flew these horrible lizard-like creatures with bat wings and burning eyes.
These animals were the spites, diseases, old age, famine, insanity, and more.
One of these lizards Pandora managed to locked in the box. That creature was
foreboding, if that had escaped, the world would have come to an end. In
conclusion, Pandora was too curious for her own good. |
