Demeter
is a goddess, who can get very angry at times. One time she saw a little boy laughing, and suddenly
realized that he was laughing at her!
Being in a bad mood, Demeter turned the boy into a lizard, and then
ate him. Because of her
immediate reaction, Demeter showed that she was indeed, quick-tempered. Another time, Zeus would not let Demeter
get back to her beloved Persephone from Hades, who had kidnapped her. This made her enraged, so she did not
let any of the EarthÕs crops grow or feed any of the animals. When Zeus did not let her have her
way, she was mad. This showed
that she truly had a temper. As
you can see, Demeter, a goddess, can be irritated easily and is one goddess
that should be feared by all. |
