The god Poseidon was very greedy. One example was when he
wanted to claim Attica for his own. He stabbed his trident into the hillside
where Acropolis still stands, and a salt-water spring spouted. Even though he
already had the entire ocean for himself, he still wanted more. Another example was when Athena
planted an olive tree on the side of a stream. Poseidon became enraged and
started a storm. That example proved that he was greedy because someone put
one tree was on his property without asking him and he wanted that ounce of
water back immediately
