JTD labEvery student in kindergarten through sixth grade attends class in the computer lab where they work one on one with a Macintosh flat screen iMac.

Throughout the school year, in one, forty minute period a week, they learn various applications. Classroom curriculum is used as the subject matter to teach computer use skills.

Skills are built sequentially from year to year. Every graduating sixth grader is an accomplished computer user, and well versed in keyboarding, word processing, databases, spreadsheets, Internet use, and presentation creation.

Each classroom also has four computers. They are loaded with educational software tied into the curriculum for the teachers to use. They are also connected to the Internet for research and collaborative projects.
