Totally Cool Traditions

Traditions are a memorable part of the John Thomas Dye School. They help us remember past times and events so people can understand them and their importance. Every year we celebrate each tradition in its own way and hope you will enjoy them too. -The Class of 1997

The Sixth Grade Class of 1997 created the original Web site for our school. JTD is built on traditions large and small. The class recognized this and thought it important to include them in the site. In their honor and to the honor of all JTD students, past and present, we have chosen to continue to include Traditions and use their original text, as in the paragraph above. This exemplifies the child centered focus of the John Thomas Dye School.

We also express a special appreciation to Judy Hirsch for her time and talents in guiding the writing of the Class of 1997 and to Evan Schnabel, Class of 1982, whose knowledge greatly supported the creation of the original site.
